I feel like sleeping!

There is a woodpecker nesting in my head. It wants something. I don´t have anything to give today.

It was love at first sight with these shoes but it took me a month or so before I got my thumb out of my .. and bought them. And If I had been a little bit faster there would have been black or green ones left. But now everything was sold out, just these only pair of brownish ones left in my size... So from today I wear brown shoes and I think it´s the first time ever.

They are kind of pippi longstocking shoes:)

Grey and rainy monday!

Some new and inspiring books for my new project. Especially The one about Josef Frank. I have always loved his patterns (but lately been a little bit tired of him) but now this book opend up a new Josef Frank world. His patterns are som complexed and there are so many! And the books also shows alot about how the patterns where done, which is great ofcourse.

The weekend

This weekend I was alone with the kids. Not so much work done, but still a little. Alot of baking and playing.

Todays work. I should work with my gothenburg collection, or cheristmas patterns. But this is what came out. A pattern to be. By the way: this is a great way to build patterns.

Poster is done

Finally the poster is done. Now the achtung boys just have to fill in the info!

Oh what a mess!

Sometimes I fool myself thinking that it´s just a little part of the apartment that is a mess, and it will be tidy in a minute. But after taking those photos, trying to find some free space SOMEWHERE I have to admit it. Everything is a mess.

flirting with food

Today I almost finished the poster that I´m working with.
And I also felt an urge to share this recepie for cabbage salad:
In english:
I kg cabbage, 3 carrots, 1 red pepper, 1/2 leek
chop into as small pieces as u wish.
Boil this marinade:
1/2 dl water, 1/2 dl sugar or sweetener. (I prefer sweetener), 1 dl apple vinegar, 1/2 dl oil
Add the spices u like. Oregano, black pepper, herb salt...
Pour the marinade over the rest, while it´s still hot.
Eat it the day after, and the day after that. Or like me: every day:)

And don´t worry, This will not turn into a food blog!

scool started

School started. I found myself a workingspace, or actually I kept my old one but now I will use it:). I will work at school most of the time this semester cause our apartment can´t stand all my pens and papers. And my creativity can´t stand the piles of undone dish. And it will be fun. But it feels weard...

Summer is out, autumn is in

Today I´m working with this, using that.

When this exhibition opens in gothenburg in november I will see it. I especially like some of Åsa Jungnelius work!

Meeting at Sandbergs

Here is the drawing I started a cuple of days ago. Sorry that the photos are so small (from yesterday also) but the drawing is so big (A2) so I can´t scan it.
Today I was at Sandbergs and Talked to great designer Lotta Kvist. I will be doing a kind of Freelance internship there until the middle of november and hopefully I will learn everything worth learning about wallpaper and fabric. My project will be to make atleast five different patterns and they all have to communicate with eachother. The theme will be "gothenburg". I´m both exited and scared cause I have never done anything as big as this. I´ll keep you posted!

Autumn semester starting at monday!

This is my last work from springsemester at HDK and at monday it´s a new fresh start. I don´t think I´m up to so much color right now. It´s hard to continue where I stopped. And this is my final year so I guess I have to decide where I´m going...

The weekend

My mother came for quick a visit this weekend. She brought alot of mushrooms so now my freezer is filled! We took a trip to IKEA, It´s great for the kids, they have really thought about everything. I forgot to bring a diper but ofcourse IKEA had some for emergencys... It´s almost like going to an amusementpark, but better. And both me and V started a new drawing, her is a dinosaur and mine is whatever.

The gold of the forest

Not picking the chanterelle (they where a gift from my mans parents, they picked them) but cooking them and eating them. The kids was very exited about actually eating them, really pointing out that mushroom has to be fried before you can eat them. And they where good. Sooo good.

Yesterdays pattern freak

These days I´m trying to figure out everything there is to know about patterns. It´s really a great idea to work on post-it paper, you can easily see the pattern change in different directions.
In these photos u can see how morning turns into afternoon and then evening. And then final destruction: why did I have to put the birds there? Well, thats life! (and I´m happy it only was on post-it´s!)

This I like. Makes Timorous Beasties look like a copy cat. Sometimes it´s a thin line between art and design. But still, I like both.

New high-heels

Today I bought myself a pair of high heels. I can´t even remember when I had that kind of shoes the last time, perhaps when I was 18... But this pair was only 100:- so it´s ok to fail walking with them. My daughter loved them at first sight, so atleast someone will use them. They are really kind of summerish, so I have one year to practise!

I really like the pixlepatterns that Cristian Zuzunaga makes.
