Just working, feeling uninspired!

Nothing much is going on over here. I´ve got massive computer problems again, won´t go into it further... but it sucks!

Working, working, working.

This week I have been working at my part time job 6 out of 7 days. And then I teached on my only day off. In the evening the man is watching fotball on TV and the sound is dreadful.
Drawing nowadays is luxury. It happens on my lunchbreak at work, in the evening after the kids fall asleep.
Drawing in silence, like in the studio, doesn´t happen at all.
When this period is over (in september) and part time job goes back to being like 40 hours a month, teaching in the evenings and days in the studio, then I will take care of the time and love every minute of it. Until then I´m drawing childrens stuff in black/white, size is less then A3 and can be carried around in my bag. Turned this into a pattern, starting to play with colors in photoshop.
Inside my head there are tons of these drawings that needs to come out, just didn´t realise it. Interesting feeling. Still havn´t figured out what to do with the material, so ideas are welcomed.

Midsummer eve

I worked the whole day so J celebrated midsummer with the kids and some friends, at the same place as we did two years ago. These photos was posted here then. Can´t belive how fast times go, and how big the kids are. Ans that I had to work again this midsummer:(

Moleskine

Ongoing thoughts from my moleskine.
Not getting that much done these days, other stuff: like part time job, plans of renovating bathroom, dreams about värmland, is taking my energy. Havn´t been to the studio for many weeks, waiting for some open space.

Sweet summer food

It´s soon midsummer and I started celebrating early by eating pickled herring on my crisp bread for several weeks already. And strawberries, we just can´t get enough of them!

Blueish things that I like

The other week I finally bought a dress that I´ve been looking at forever. I tryed it once, last year, but they didn´t have my size in the right color and I thought blue wasn´t for me. Now the blue one was on sale and I just couldn´t resist it. It´s hanging here looking at me and asking for a really nice evnt to worn at!

This chocolate is addicting. It makes crazy twist in my mouth and probably it will make me gain alot of weight so that I can´t wear my new dress!

Last week

We had a great week at Tjörn, few activitys (just favourite places like akvarell museet and sundsby säteri) and alot of family time. The summer house is just fantastic, wish we could stay for the rest of the summer... But work calls!

Weekword: transparent

Weekword this week was picked by just a humble bee, go there to see who els is playing. When I first thought of the word I had so many plans, but then time was short. So transparent for me today is what it is many of the days, my lighttable. What would I do without it?! Yesterday I started to make a  drawing for a card to the childrens newest little cousin. Today I used the lighttable to personalize it and later I managed to ruin the whole thing by trying to color it with watercolor (not photographed).

Newest birds

My newest birds that I´ve been working on for some time now is taking shape. My work process is often that I have an idea that I scetch in black to try out the shapes, when I feel settled with the shape I switch into colors. like this+this.
When I draw it´s magic for me, it´s like I never want to stop. Every disturbance (like the phone, kids, eating) makes me wanna scream.
So, what should this become? A drawing, a pattern? If it should be a pattern on what would it suit? help me sweet readers!

Today I worked on the drawings for my exhibition in september and inbetween I continued practising my fashion drawing skills.
Right now most things are upside down, I´m trying to concentrate on whats positive and hopefully we are going to the summerhouse next weekend and just relax.

This day is one day

Today we all went to the studio to prepare for tomorrows interview. Then V and I cleaned her room, it was about time. I´ll give her 24 hours to ceate the same mess as we started from. Photo evidence will be posted!

Just like you do

The other night he found a book behind the sofa (one of my moleskine sketchbooks). I said that he could draw in it if he wanted to. I will draw pattern he said, just like you do. I´m amazed that he knows the word pattern and even more amazed of what he drawed. Wow. He inspires me!

Weekword: now

Starting a new project, going through my markers, ordering refills and thinking about color choices. 

Weekword is "now" and Hanna picked it. Go to her blog to see who els is playing. Now for me has a connection with then. Then hasn´t changed that much in some aspects, still now is completly different from then.

Investigating

I have set my mind on doing some fashion drawing. It´s interesting to try different styles and different materials, trying to find some angle that suits me. Soon it´s time to play with colors. For months now my markers was at the studio, but I miss them during the evenings so this sunday I brought them with me back home. I guess I have to carry the bag between the places every day.

Tuesday+wednesday

Yesterday the kids performed for us at kindergarden. V was a horse and J was a clown. He surprised us all by actually getting cake thrown at him!

Today I´m working on surface patterns that are friends with eachother. They will form a collection that I will present somewhere later this summer. It´s fun!
