Styling: I

Tomorrow the photografer will come and take pictures of our apartment.
This weekend we are "styling". Quite fun. This is part 1 of 3, tomorrow you can see the real chaos and the last post will be what comes out of that chaos!

Weekword: hole

Weekword :hole. We had holes in the celing of our bathroom. Now they are filled holes and tomorrow they will be forgotten holes, cause we are painting the celing.

Lecture+workshop

Last night I held a lecture and a workshop about patterns and how to make them. It was at design and interior where karin is teaching. It was nice and I came to think about the time I spent at preparation schools, before university. How nice it was back then when creating something was just fun and a new knowledge. Yesterday I got a taste of that joy:)

Today my kids are turning 4, can´t belive it! We are very tired after yesterdays celebrating and today we will stay inside and play and play and play. And have the rest of the birthdaycake:) I will give you more pics later!

Today when I´m pregaring for showing our apartment to people that perhaps want to buy it and also having a big birthday party this weekend, I´m sharing the same dreams as the stenmark lady.

Sketching on a logo. Finally I have decided to call my company "veja cecilia". I havn´t updated you on my "spira" activity latley, to much have happend. Soon I will give you spria update 4.

Struggeling

This drawing is done. It´s very big and it was astruggle to get it done. I feel that life is a bit of a struggle right now, life and art and combining life and art. I have to get it to work, like this drawing. It has to work. Still not sure that it does though. (klick it to see it bigger!)

Yesterday the prototypes of my cuttingboards/potstands arrived. There are 7 different kinds. I have to decide on 5 to continue with. If you should pick one that you like, which one would it be?

Sleepy friday

Filter

Today I had my first portfolio meeting. I decided to aim high and present my work for a magazine that I really want to work with, Filter. I like everything about it. The subjects they write about and how they give the whole story. The shape of the magazine and the graphic design. I would love to work with them!

I was nervous but not as nervous as I thought I should be. I think that I talked way to much. Next time I will try to let my images talk more!

Heavy post!

I´m in the "sharingmood". Going through old stuff and scanning them again after the computer crash. Images above is the portfolio that I applied to the master degree program with, 4 years ago. If I compare this portfolio to the one I made for the bachelor degree and with the work I´m doing now, it´s very different. This one has alot of "design" in it. I worked alot with project that where based on concepts, that had strong ideas behind the designs.
Nowadays I work with decoration and I love it!
1. portfolios backside
2. This project is about an movement we (me and 4 friends) where working with to provide people with design history. We held lectures and I also wrote an essay.
3. Graphic profile project for the university.
4. Projects about sustainability. I did alot of crafting in plastic. More here and here.
5. Working with communication. Pernilla and I made a project about hiding your face. How it´s sometimes ok (for doctors, in sports etc) and other times not. On the left side it´s a project about communications within a family. I made some scetches of bedding that had one patterned side (two bunnies going at it) and one colored. My idea was that If someone in the relationship didn´t feel up to it they could just turn the colored side up and vice versa.
