I just couldn´t resist this lovley brooch made by Marie-louise Sundqvist, visit her shop and check out her great things!

Last night our son started drawing these "huvudfotingar", don´t know the english word!? The daughter was exited and screaming "wow, u can draw" and the man and I was just looking at eachother, amazed! it´s fantastic how things just happen with kids, one day color all over, next day drawing of angry mum!

I have this little butterfly that I would like to use in a pattern. It´s digital and I´m working in photoshop

There is this clever little tool called offset that works in the same way as my post-it system, it repeats the image.

Before I go to the offset tool I go to Image size and finds out how many pixels my image is. This one is 8o so I take half of that, 40 that is, and writes it in the tool box.

Now the image wraps around itselfs and looks like this.

then I open a new, bigger document, and I just drag my image into that one and it´s possible to see exactly how it would repeat itself!

and then: trial and error, trial and error...

Today some tests with colors, no luck:(

Went and did some very nice finds at Monki. 50:- for all jeans and trousers on sale, wow! I like the interior design at the Monki shop, quite wild!

My desk!

Kimberley tagged me to show my desk. I wish mine was as nice as hers, but no, mine is a mess! You might think I never clean it, but I do. Perhaps once a week. And it looks the same in a hour or so!

I need some color!

This morning the trees where all frozen and white. As white as my drawing! Can´t wait to put some color on it, I really have to push myself to think color without actually using it. Lines, lines, lines. On Monday there will be som sweet pink on this one!

Sunshine(s) of my life

One more day at home. Today I got some drawing done (about 10 minutes!) and we had a great visitor, THE SUN!

Colors

Today I´ve been thinking alot about colors. I don´t like brown that much but I´m trying to...

My way to work

This is a drawing that I made a cuple of weeks ago. I like parts of it so I thought I shoud make a poster/pattern out of it. In color.

First I had to change the size. In my project I work with 40*40 cm and original drawing was only a4. And as you can see I have big problems keeping to my original drawing.

Another test with some colors. How will I coor it? will I use black lines and then color it, or just markers?

After testscanning and trying out the pattern (in the computer) I had to bring the birds apart, it didn´t work well as a pattern when they where connected.

Nothing works. Cut and throw around the pieces. Trying to figure out something.

Almost starting from zero but I think (thanks to Lidia) that I got the pattern-part solved now. Only the composition in the poster that has to work! I´ll keep you posted...

Today it starts, for real!

Today I end my research and start my drawings. In about 5 weeks I hope I have managed to make 6 different posters that can work on their own or be combined. I feel like a small child taking my very first steps. Top drawing is beginning of 1:6 posters. Second and third are just threads.

Looking at old drawings uesterday.This is a part of my portfolio for HDK, 2002. "Describe a smile" was the task.

The photo was taken in November just when I had screen printed the first Myrkott t-shirts and our poster was done. It was taken by my friend Henrik and we had a problem getting the kids to focus, as you can see!

Today when I was cleaning among old bills and stuff I found an envelope that wasn´t opend. It was sent late November and it said that I got one of the scolarships that I applied for in

september! Amazing, 5000:-, can´t belive it....

Working weekend
